Yeah... unfortunately. The screenshots have just gone up over at IGN.com ([link]).
Seriously, I love the Wii, I think it's a fun console to play and welcome any addition to the FPS genre on it, but I really think they've made the worst decision possible here. Personally, I'd have preferred it if they had just built an entirely new game from scratch exclusively for the Wii... that would have been cool...
yes it would be cool. I hear they are even coming out with leg motion sensors so you can kick. That would be sweet too. But yea a FPS you could actually move to would be even better.
Yeah, it'll be out at the same time Modern Warfare 2 is released. Looking at the screenshots... I have to say, I'd have preferred it if they hadn't bothered... And I'm saying that as a loyal Wii owner!
Oh, I don't know, Treyarch have their moments (any developer that includes a Nazi zombie mini-game is at least half-decent in my book). I mean, World At War wasn't a *bad* game by any means, it's just that... well, after COD4 it just didn't feel all that fresh or forward-thinking. I can't help but get the feeling, though, that Treyarch are more under the thumb of Activision than Infinity Ward is, perhaps that has something to do with it. I mean, when you consider that Activision didn't even want a Modern Warfare game to begin with... well, I think that says it all about their priorities really; thou shalt worship the focus groups!
i guess you're right, because like you after CoD 4 when I played World At War it's been there, done that feeling. but in my opinion activision thought that CoD 4 will be a flop considering that the CoD series was established in WW2 era battles now since CoD 4 is mega-successful they wanted to port it to the Wii since a good idea considering the Wii owner wanted CoD 4 in their system. but the thing that really blows is treyarch i mean the series went a downhill slide (for me) with no. 3 which is an initial flop alongside other games in the series they developed. like you said World at War isn't a bad game because it uses the CoD 4 engine, then again treyarch abused the engine with a very bad game that is Quantum of Solace. so for me treyarch doesn't impress me in any CoD game they develop and i hope that CoD 7 they're developing will be at least passable than World at War.
Ah, I agree with you that Quantum of Solace is a sin that Treyarch will never, ever atone for. That was possibly one of the ugliest, buggiest games to ever come out on the Wii. It's ridiculous that nobody's really made a truly solid bond game since GoldenEye on the N64.
But, like you said, fingers crossed for COD7 coming somewhere close to Infinity Ward's level of quality...
yes even though i never played GoldenEye it became a legend in gaming even though it's a movie based game. back to treyarch they just suck and i am running out of things to say to them on how much a bad CoD developer they are. that's about it any do you have a facebook account?
